Adam was wonderful and came to give us an estimate to run a gas line to install a natural gas stove. We thought the price is very fair and Adam will be doing the gas line installation. Tuck & Howell Company is very professional and are quick with service. I recommend them.

We tried to change out a thermostat on our own but the heat wouldn’t come on afterwards. After trying everything we could think of we called Tuck & Howell and they sent 2 technicians, Tony and Tom, out the next day. They wore booties to protect the floor, and were very professional. They quickly figured out the problem and got our heat back up and running in no time. I highly recommend Tuck and Howell and if you are lucky you’ll get Tony and Tom.

UPDATE 1/29/26–With the cold weather the same issue I had a month ago came back and the house was 62° when I woke up. With potential snow this weekend I couldn’t wait. Tuck and Howell were able to get a tech to me that day AND work with my work schedule. The tech called before heading my way to let me know when he would arrive which allowed me time to walk the dogs. They also text a photo of your tech so you know who to expect which I really appreciated. Tyler went straight to work and while there were no major issues he let me know everything that he did. He was even kind enough to call my husband to relay everything directly to him as well. There is a reason this company has the number of glowing reviews they do. I know we won’t hesitate to call Tuck and Howell when we need our furnace or AC serviced, repaired or replaced. 12/15/25 While I was able to troubleshoot the issue I was having, I will say that the quick response to my online inquiry was awesome. I also received a phone call from Stacy following up. Having a business that is this responsive to customers and potential customers is rare and wonderful. I will absolutely be calling in the future to give my business to Tuck & Howell. Thank you for having excellent customer service, care and support.

Friendly professional thorough

It was a very positive and interesting experience. Technicians dispatched to my location were very professional and did an excellent job. I work at night and went to get something to eat and let them do the various tasks. Went to work with peace of mind knowing the job was to my satisfaction! Comfortable temperature was reached shortly after I got off shift and system had done its job. Again thanks to the 2 technicians for a job well !! Everything from start to finish, was a well orchestrated 'Process'. Thanks to everyone involved. Ready to deal with this predicted frozen weather conditions.

Chandler and BJ arrived at the promised time and were courteous and knowledgeable. They explained so that I understood the problems with my HVAC system and gave me a reasonable quote for replacement. The installation was scheduled for the next day. I was treated as a valued customer. Hunter Longshore, Tom, and Dennis did the installation for me and arrived early, went straight to work and completed the job in record time. They cleaned up the work area and hauled away the old unit and its parts. Soon our home was warm again and we were very grateful customers. I recommend Tuck and Howell to all.

This business was highly recommended by a friend of ours, a recent widow, for the professionalism and kind explanations they provided for her issue. We called them to have them participate in a quote for an electric water heater replacement. The staff was incredibly kind, professional and responsive to coming to our property to discuss our needs. I was highly impressed!

Called on Friday at the last minute before the ice storm after I realized I needed a regulator for my natural gas generator to work properly. They not only came out that day, but we're at my house in about an hour with the part I desperately needed and handled the install. I can't thank them enough for giving me the peace of mind knowing my natural gas generator would work and not run out of fuel. Price was reasonable for being last minute and not only installing the part but correcting some issues to keep it within code.

I had issues with a sink disposal that was installed. I contacted them and upon review, it was agreed to be defective. They replaced it within a few hours and we were all set. No charges for the replacement and very kind employees.

Great and prompt service. Showed up first thing in the morning on a Saturday after being called on Friday night. Had hot water heater replaced by 11 in the morning.

Technician was very nice. Tried numerous times to start unvented gas logs. He said in such a situation, probably needs new switches which has to be done by by a specialized gas service. It seems that my gas logs are dangerous without a window being slightly open. In current terrible ice storm, not a pleasant thought. I suppose my gas logs are just for looks. Can only be used a couple hours a day. Their mainteance plan for heat/air much more reasonable than exorbitant price I paid a local hvac company to put in a little coolant this past summer. Recommended by Duke Power to light pilot light.

Jim, our tech, came out and did an excellent job of showing what was wrong with the water heater and fixing it in a matter of minutes. Jim came out quick and before a storm to ensure we would have hot water for the oncoming cold. I am greatly appreciative for all Tuck and Howell did for us and I will be a lifelong customer. They also did not look to rip us off because we had an emergency which is extremely respectable as there are other companies out there that would have taken advantage of the situation.

I wanted to get something looked at before a big storm and ended up on Tuck & Howell's page. Scheduling was extremely easy and could be done online. I was able to secure an appointment the same day. The technician, BJ, communicated his arrival time. He treated my home with care and used his expertise to diagnose my problem. He was extremely knowledgeable and not only put my mind at ease, but gave me a plan of future services I might want to look into. If all the techs at Tuck & Howell are like BJ, then they have some top talent. Pricing is fair, service is top notch, and they make doing business with them easy. Experiences like they gave me are what build loyalty and I'd recommend them to anyone looking for HVAC services in the upstate.

Water heater broke on a Saturday. Tried getting a replacement from Lowe’s but it couldn’t be done until Monday. Found Tuck and Howell online and they were very professional and able to come install a new unit within a few hours. The downside was the cost. It ended up costing literally thousands of dollars more than Lowe’s quoted us, or even a Google search of the average cost to replace a water heater. On top of the high price, they charge an additional 3% credit card fee. That just seems like greed, since most people probably don’t have the kind of funds immediately available for what they charge. That said, everyone I deal with was very friendly and professional and the technician did a great job and explained everything. My only issue was with the cost, which after the fact I regret paying, rather than waiting a couple extra days.

No one loves to deal with replacing an HVAC unit, but Tuck and Howell made the experience incredibly seamless from the quote to installation. I reached out Friday afternoon and Chandler came out on a Saturday to provide the quote and review our options. Between the competitive price and a recommendation from a friend, Tuck and Howell was the obvious choice. The install team, Dennis, Tom, and Hunter were all so nice and did a great job explaining the system and answering all my questions. They completed the job in a little over 4 hours. Great experience all around!

I needed a plumber so I called tuck and Howell. I was very impressed by the guy that showed up. His name is Will. Will gave me different options to fix my current situation. Not only that, he identified other potential problems and gave me solutions. I would definitely call this company and request Will.

Tuck and Howell did my annual furnace inspection this week. (Late because I procrastinated.) Father and son team Tony and Thomas did an awesome job. They let me know when they were on the way. While at my house, they discovered some irregularities in my duct work. They took pictures so that I did not have to go under the house. They presented me with four different options for repair. They were back the next day to make the repairs happen. Throughout the entire process, they were professional and polite. And what a difference the duct work tweaks have made - a uniformly warm house. Thanks guys, I should have called you in October!!!

Two of the nicest young men came to our house to install our furnace and air! I think their names were Jacob and Cole (please forgive if not right). One had been here before and always very respectful! Did a great job and the heater system much appreciated on this cold day! Tuck and Howell's four-man crew of Jose, Oscar, Cole, and Brock removed my old Lennox system, and installed a Goodman 5-Ton heat pump, air handler, and return air plenum, in one day. I called this company on a Saturday and on a Sunday the tech was onsite assessing my issue. Tyler was very friendly and provided all options to me and my wife. It was determined that a warranty part needed replacing. Took a few days to get the part yet I was well informed on all aspects of the status and was provided detail information. Tech was dispatched on a Friday at 3. The technician worked until 7 making sure all measurements where were they needed to be. Jesse explained all the details to me even though I know I was being a noisy customer. He explained everything and made sure we were taken care of. Great customer service and follow up. I will definitely use them in the future.

Excellent work! The service rep came out to install the basement bar sink and connect the PEX lines to the existing water supply. He did a fantastic job running the PEX lines and installing the pump. I was told later today which was more than acceptable. 20 mins later I got a call from Tuck & Howell asking if we were available now, yes of course. Tech arrived a few minutes later. Within a few minutes I had a very reasonable quote and I approved the work to happen. 1.5 hours later all the work was done and reviewed with me to complete satisfaction. I have had nothing but issues with the HVAC system that was installed in a house that is only 5 years old. I called Tuck & Howell when our heat stopped working completely, and had nothing but a great experience. The tech did a very thorough job in testing the system and determined that the fix was a simple breaker change. I had another company come out the day before and they seemed very unsure of the cause of the issue, did very little diagnostics and ultimately suggested the heating element. A repair that would have cost $2k. With Tuck and Howell taking the time to actually run tests, they determined everything with heating element was fine and the fix was a simple breaker change. With their honesty, they saved me a lot of money on needless repairs. However, I explained to the tech all of the issues we have had, mainly with our A.C. and I asked for a quote on replacing the unit. More tests were completed and the next day, I had a completely new working system. The difference was night and day. Everyone that I dealt with has been amazing and honest. In a world where the dollar rules all, it is nice to do business with a company that runs on integrity. My only wish is that they did more than plumbing and HVAC.

I asked for heating system to be checked because it’s colder in some rooms than others. He spent awhile in the attic and reported that ductwork is incorrect type and insufficient size. Offered free estimate appt to get it replaced and a yearly plan to get ac/furnace checks which I intend to buy.

Great to work with

I contracted with Tuck and Howell to remove and replace all my HVAC ductwork in my crawlspace. Their pricing was very competitive. They upgraded ductwork with appropriate sized supply and return lines for my 3-ton HVAC. They added dampers for each trunk line and carefully balanced the airflow flow to each room. The team of Jose, Oseur, Bryson, and Hunter were led by Justin Crews. All did a fabulous job. Justin kept me thoroughly informed throughout the project and answered all my questions appropriately. I would highly recommend Tuck and Howell based on my experience with them.

We had Tucker and Howell come to look at a leaking hot water tank and pressure reducing valve. They came the day of the call, and had the replacement in by evening. Great service, great technician.

Tuck and Howell were excellent in replacing our very old HVAC system. The job was complex with some big challenges along the way but the friendly crew got the job done with great results. We particularly appreciate Jacob (photo) who was especially resourceful and skilled. Jacob worked late into the evening and returned the next morning to make certain everything was completed to the highest standards. Our special appreciation to him!

Chandler was very knowledgeable, kind, and willing to work with me on establishing a generator for our home that fit our needs without draining our bank account. He pointed out all of the positives and negatives about shopping for a generator. Never did I feel rushed or pressured into any type of sale. When I decided on the unit that best fit it our home, as soon as the generator came in, they were out with their service team to install it within a day. I can’t say enough about their Electrician Thomas Hedden and their installation specialist Justin Crews. These men went the extra mile to make sure things went smoothly and that things were explained to me from the very beginning. They went above and beyond the things that were required, very personable and attentive to my own inquiries, and did an excellent job from beginning to end with our unit. It was not an easy install due to our terrain, but they muscled through it with great care. I would recommend them to anyone considering buying a Generac generator. They were great as a team, especially with their assistants Bryson and Hunter, who were both helpful and informative. I would strongly recommend their services and based upon the work they did would look into their plumbing heating and air services as well. Their office was also kind over the phone and it was just a pleasant experience all around.

We first called Tuck & Howell when our water heater went out one day. They were able to get Hunter out same day for us. He came out later in the evening even though his other call went late but that was very appreciated! He did a great job replacing it the next day! He was also great with my very annoying and loud dogs. We signed up for their HVAC maintenance program and scheduled Holden to come out. He did a really thorough and thought out review and gave us multiple package options to choose from to get our system back up to standards! He talked through questions with my husband a couple of days later and we signed one of the estimates. He was able to come out next day and got all of the work completed! Also, very good with my loud and annoying dogs 😊 Definitely recommend this group overall so far!! Their service and scheduling departments are also very friendly and make it easy to get appointments scheduled!

Tuck & Howell came out to do a system maintenance check. The team was very professional and thorough with their assessment and consultation. They discovered an issue with a system they weren’t even asked to assess. I was impressed with the breadth and scope of Tony’s knowledge, Thomas’s diligence and service orientation and Chandler’s overall clarity in detailing the annual maintenance program. I decided to sign up for an annual maintenance program with this provider as I had confidence in their capabilities and support.

We were very pleased with Tim who came out to our home to look at our hot water heater today. He was very honest and upfront with us. You don’t find that kind of honesty very much today. We were not charged a fee to come out to look at our hot water heater. We will be calling Tuck and Howell for future plumbing issues.

Tuck and Howell was exceptional at sending over their technician, Hunter to our home the day before Thanksgiving to fix our emergency situation with our backed up kitchen sink drains. He was at our house in less than an hour. Hunter did an outstanding job with fixing our kitchen sink drains. I’d also like to add that he is very good at his job and didn’t lack in his ability with super friendly customer service. I wish there were more people like him!
