Connor Brandt worked all day to get our unit back up and running after a 2 week delay waiting for a new compressor. He did a great job. He worked outside on one of the hottest days. He is very nice and professional.

I highly recommend Tuck and Howell for HVAC repairs. They were prompt in responding and provided excellent service. The price was reasonable and suitable options were presented to manage overall cost.

Our HVAC suddenly stopped blowing cold air, so I gave them a call. Spoke with Michaela. She was upfront about their $69 diagnostic fee, and she had someone out to my home the very next day.

Ironically, just before Connor arrived, the system started working again. I showed him a video of what had been happening, and he immediately took the time to listen and understand the issue. Connor was incredibly friendly, professional, and even showed some love to my sweet 90-lb puppy, she absolutely adored him!

He performed a very thorough inspection of our HVAC system in the attic, and clearly explained everything he found along with showing me photos he took. While the original issue wasn’t actively occurring during his visit, he could still identify the issue and also discovered a significant buildup of mold and mildew inside the duct work. He explained that it wasn’t causing the immediate cooling problem but was definitely something that should be addressed for the health and efficiency of the system.

What impressed me most was Connor’s honesty. He reviewed the pricing, answered all of my questions, and never once made me feel pressured to purchase anything. It was such a refreshing experience. I’ve had technicians from another HVAC company service this same system for several years, and not one of them ever mentioned the mold and mildew buildup that Connor found during a single visit.

Because of the outstanding service Connor provided, I signed up for Tuck & Howell’s monthly maintenance club ($20 a month). I also approved the cleaning and recommended repairs, and I’m looking forward to having Connor come back to get our system back to 100%.

It’s rare these days to find someone who is knowledgeable, honest, professional, and genuinely cares about doing the right thing. Connor absolutely earned my trust, and because of him, Tuck & Howell has earned a customer for life. Highly recommend!

Holden did an excellent job fixing my A/C system in just two hours. He was highly professional, knowledgeable, and efficient throughout the entire process.

I was especially impressed that the company sent a technician the very next day after I called at 10:00 PM when my A/C stopped working on one of the hottest days of the year. Their prompt response and outstanding service exceeded my expectations.

They provide details on what they have done and take the time to answer all my questions. The price is very reasonable. And most of all.. the service reps are very courteous and polite.

Very professional and took care of my system

Called T&H this morning about HVAC unit leaking water in basement. Their technician Jack arrived shortly after 1 pm. They called 30 minutes before to say he was on his way. He found the problem was an improperly installed drain line that had finally clogged after years of use. He replaced a section and resealed some joints that were questionable. He explained a couple of options depending on how much I wanted to spend. The final charge was exactly what he quoted at the beginning. In an hour he was done. I'm thoroughly satisfied with Jack's work and Tuck & Howell's response.

I had a major problem with the ductwork in my attic. Tuck & Howell did a fantastic job, starting with analyzing of the problem, explaining the problem, and recommending the correct solution. Excellent diagnostics by Jackson. The installers, Justin Crews and Donnie, skillfully and professionally completed the installation. 100% satisfied.

I'm a first homeowner and have never dealt with anything HVAC related before. I had no idea what I was doing, but had heard wonderful things about Tuck & Howell. They were extremely helpful on the phone and sent out JD to work on my HVAC. He was very kind, friendly, thorough, and exceptionally good at his job. They were able to work with me on my hectic schedule and were very knowledgeable. I had a wonderful experience with them and will be using them from here on out.

JD recommended and installed the Reme Halo LED and it has made a HUGE difference in the air quality in our home. I live in an older condo and odors transfer from our neighbor - she diffuses essential oils particularly eucalyptus. Diffusing essential oils emits VOC's into the air and the Reme helps clear our air and gives me peace of mind that our health is not being compromised. Very grateful to JD for all of his help!

Called shortly before noon and T & H had a tech here by two or so in the afternoon. Tim, the tech, quickly diagnosed our kitchen drain issue and had it taken care of within an hour or so. Tim was thorough, professional, knowledgeable, and personable. We're very satisfied with his work and highly recommend T & H.

We called Tuck and Howell because we wanted to get a maintenance check up on our ac unit,it hadn't had one in a couple years and wasn't keeping up ,especially since it has gotten so hot, we were sent Tech Jesse, Jesse was very thorough ,not in a rush and it was very hot that day,He found a few minor problems and fixed them ,now the air works perfectly, and Jesse was so kind ,

SHORT VERSION:
Tuck & Howell is the company you want for your HVAC system maintenance and repair needs. I dealt with Holly and Holden and they are both outstanding and provided exactly what I needed.

LONG VERSION (please read if you're frustrated like I was):
After years of dealing with one of the "Big HVAC Companies" in the Upstate area, I was tired of them not addressing my concerns and pushing their "You're going to need a complete HVAC system replacement" business model. I was looking for an actual service company who would dispatch skilled and knowledgeable technicians to help me maintain my relatively new system and get as much life out of it as I could.

My home is only 7 years old, and the HVAC system still works quite well. However, I was having issues with it keeping up during the hottest 90+ degree summer days and thought I would get someone to come out and take a look at it since the refrigerant hadn't been checked since installation. So, I called the "Big HVAC Company" I had used in the past while in another house and they came out (almost 2 months later) and said my refrigerant was low and that I needed a new HVAC system. When I asked if they could just top it off and see how long that would work, the technician (or rather, salesman) balked and said the best he could do would be to provide me a quote for repairs, along with some upgrades I didn't really need, but wouldn't recommend simply adding refrigerant.

Frustrated, I called Tuck & Howell and expressed my concerns and from the very first conversation I had with the representative, I knew I had found the answer to my problems. Within 2 days, Tuck & Howell had scheduled and dispatched a technician.

The communication and service provided by Tuck & Howell is outstanding! From Holly's messages letting me know that the technician was on his way, to Holden, who patiently listened to my concerns and expertly assessed my HVAC system and provided me with service options, I knew I had finally found an HVAC company that suited my needs.

Holden confirmed that my system was a little low on refrigerant, but provided an option to "baseline" my system and top it off, then check it again later to determine the severity of the leak. He even checked out 2 items the "Big HVAC Company" said were on the verge of failure and needed replacement, but these turned out to be functioning fine. Holden also discovered a clogged drain line that the "Big HVAC Company" technician was supposed to have cleaned a few weeks prior.

Holden also let me know (based on actual data and system flow readings) that he thought my HVAC system wasn't "balanced" for my home and that, with some simple modifications, we could get better airflow and efficiency from our existing system. Something the "Big HVAC Company" didn't even notice - and had they done so, they would have said I needed a complete HVAC system replacement anyway.

This is the first time I have used Tuck & Howell for plumbing (I recently used them for HVAC maintenance). I was very impressed with the service I received for the replacement of my kitchen faucet. Booking an appointment online was very easy and my appointment was confirmed the same day (on a Sunday). My technician, James S., was extremely helpful in providing options for my repair. In addition to fixing the issue at hand, James provided extra suggestions for future improvements without making me feel pressured to move forward with them. I felt like I had all the information I needed to make a decision. James was professional, courteous, and friendly. He took the time to go over all my options and thoroughly explain the estimates. This is the second time I have used Tuck and Howell services and the second time I have been extremely pleased with their work. Their technician, Will Geer, went above and beyond to resolve the issue I was having with my water heaters. He was not only knowledgeable and personable, but took great care of our home. I would like to say thank you to Tuck & Howell for sending someone to check my AC system for my home so quickly. Connor, a field technician showed up first. He look at my system and explained what I must do to get the system fixed. He also explained why. Story short, I must replace this 40 year old system. So Connor called his field supervisor, Josh. Josh looked at the system I have and inspected my home to see what must be done to install a new AC system. Then Josh and Connor sat down and talked with me about options. They answered all my questions. We came up with a plan that was satisfying. I noticed while we doing business, we were talking together like we were family. They were so polite, not in hurry to rush off, willing to help me in any way they can. We laughed and joked around a little. I have been doing business with Tuck & Howell since 1995. And I'm still proud they service my home AC system.

My service with Tuck & Howell was amazing from start to finish. When my a/c went out, they had someone scheduled to come out first thing the next morning. BJ, the tech that showed up, was AMAZING! He got my system working in no time (despite it being from 1988!) and filled me in on issues he saw and ones I might experience in the future. I appreciated his honesty and forthcomingness.

I decided to get a new a/c system and Joey helped me out with that. He did a thorough investigation of my system and came to me with a variety of offers. Once again, his honesty made me super comfortable with choosing a system and spending that kind of money. (Tuck and Howell have great financing options!)

When it came to installing my system, Tom and Brycen were great. Brycen stayed long into the evening to troubleshoot diagnostic issues, keeping me updated on the issues while he worked through them. I appreciated him staying to get my new system up and working so I could have a/c again.

If you’re tired of feeling like companies are pulling the wool over your eyes or extorting you due to your lack of knowledge on a topic, then you need to trust and go with Tuck & Howell. I would trust them again in the future.

Although my ac issue was not as simple as I’d hoped, Holden was fabulous from start to finish and Josh was wonderful in finding a solution to a costly procedure that totally suited my budget. I’ve used Tuck and Howell for years and whilst I hope I don’t need to use them again any time soon, if I need to I definitely will.

I would give 6 stars if I could. Signed up online around 5:30pm on Monday, and I had a technician at my house at 11:00am the next day! Jesse Seger was our technician and he did amazing. He was very knowledgeable and explained the problem thoroughly. He gave us options for solutions so we could decide what would fit into our budget this visit. He also taught us what issues to look for in the future as our unit ages. We loved him! Even the dog approved, and she’s a hard sell. Thank you Jesse!

I had my AC unit replaced in June 2026 after my old system stopped cooling properly. Nathan took the time to explain to me my options and what I really needed with a software tool he had. The installation was completed in one day, and they cleaned up thoroughly afterward. The new system works great and cools the house much more efficiently. I would recommend them for HVAC replacement

We recently had a new air conditioner put in. We’ve had a good experience with the company and we’ve been happy with them. Brock came out to check on the quality of the work, it was about two weeks after the unit was put in to make sure that it was working properly. He was extremely personable, knowledgeable, knew how to answer all our questions and concerns. He is perfect for the job he does and his role with the company. Also, I’ve talked a couple of times with the manager Jeff, he was great with customer service. My husband and I feel it’s a quality company and we’re very happy to use them.

The young man from Tuck & Howell Heating & Air did an excellent job checking my unit~! One issue other the scheduling problem was the posted ad online showed the technician cleaning and checking the inside of the unit, that was one reason I called. I was informed the special did not cover the total inside and out service. The technician did check my complete unit and gave me some very good advice on maintaining the unit. The tech saved the day~!

The compressor on our three year old Carrier heat pump shorted out during a heat wave. Tuck and Howell quickly sent an expert technician out, who immediately diagnosed the problem and ordered the part (not in stock). Tuck and Howell is great. Carrier, not so much.

Bryson and partner did a very good job installing and setting up new heat pump and hvac system. Very diligent, knowledgeable, very patient and professional. A few hiccups with payment and breaker but it was handled very well. Happy with the job. A job well done

I had a gas leak, which another plumbing company didn't fully diagnose and therefore misquoted by a lot. I called Tuck & Howell for a second opinion. Jim Huntington was able to properly diagnose the leaks in the connection points (not the hoses) and fix them quickly and economically. Hector was here a few months ago to work on my shower and two toilets and was also great! I will trust Tuck & Howell for all gas and water plumbing needs from here on out!

My wife and I want to thank Technician JD Dytko for going above and beyond on 2 separate occasions to insure our AC repairs were completed thoroughly and in a timely manner. First, JD made an emergency trip to our residence after business hours on a Saturday evening. He made a thorough assessment of what steps needed to be completed to get our AC operational. He then came and completed the work after normal business hours on the following Tuesday pm to insure we met deadlines. Everyone we interacted with at Tuck and Howell was extremely professional and caring. We highly recommend them!
