This morning I called Tuck and Howell to make an emergency HVAC repair appointment. Despite all time slots on the 'book online' feature being filled, they were able to make room for me. Our technician, Owen B., arrived on time and he clearly knew what he was doing. He diagnosed our issues, gave us a few quotes, and then saved our lives by applying the necessary fixes to our outdoor AC unit. He also gave high level answers to all of our questions, which is a great indicator of his experience and knowledge. Tuck and Howell should hold Owen close, he did a stellar job.
HVAC repairs are quite expensive, but I feel with Tuck and Howell, I will not need repairs often. Shout out to our tech, Owen B. You're good at what you do, thank you!

I had an HVAC problem with my upstairs unit. I called Tuck and Howell and the next day they were at my home with two great employees, Josh and Connor. They went upstairs and identified a serious problem but gave me options. The unit is over 10 years old. I decided that I would replace it. Josh was very patient and helpful in answering my questions. He is extremely knowledgeable as was Connor. I reviewed my options and picked the best one for my home.

Two days later, two extremely conscientious installers, Mark and Dante, came to my home and installed my new system. They did not waste time and did an extremely thorough and excellent job in installing my system. Both of them were determined to do the job to my satisfaction. You are fortunate to have such good men like Josh, Connor, Mark and Dante. They represent what excellent service should be.

Brandt Connor was the service technician that took care of my mothers AC unit. He went above and beyond for her. Excellent customer service and did a great job explaining what was the issue.

I couldn’t have been more satisfied with the service I received. They came within hours of my call. I was in a bind with a unit not working and a home showing scheduled for the next day. The technician, JD, was courteous, professional and within a short time was able to diagnose my multiple problems. The two items were also not only available but on his trunk. He immediately began repairing and replacing in the boiling temperature outside heat and with trips into my hot attic. While waiting to confirm the problems were fixed he checked and cleaned my other three units without being ask. His supervisor joined him and was just as kind and professional.
The charges were reasonable, especially since I wasn’t needing to replace an entire unit.
I would recommend them to anyone needing an AC repair.

Been seeing their vans all over the place. And after 3 different estimates from 3 other companies, we decided to go with Tuck & Howell for a full zone replacement as our AC unit was old and blown out.

Bit of a late start, but Bryson, Daniel, Tom and 1 other who I totally forgot their name, all grinded away working till 8PM to get our system up and running. And it has been! As someone who works in the heat all day (not as hot as the conditions these guys are in), it’s nice to finally come home to some working AC again. Thank you guys for coming out.

Initially we were told there was no availability for 5 days to install a new HVAC system, but they ended up creating an opening for us next day! Justin did a great job with the install, keeping us informed throughout the process. They even put down a complimentary vapor barrier around the new furnace in the crawl space.

I discovered them through Facebook ads and recommendations from the subcontractor. They’re very friendly, and I appreciate that they text to confirm the address, time, and send a picture of the person who will be there before they arrive. I’m only familiar with routine maintenance at the moment, but I’m planning to use their services for plumbing and checking out the surge protector for my HVAC. I also like how their service is easy and convenient, but it’s also a good price compared to other companies. Communication is key, and they have a really good system for it. He was also out there and did a thorough inspection.

Conner did a great job in diagnosing our HVAC system intermittent failure and also suggested an upgrade to our system which we took advantage of. Very knowledgeable and personable young man. Conner is the kind of person you want representing your company.

Needed to have my water pressure and pressure relief value evaluated. The technicians were scheduled but were able to arrive earlier than planned. The assessed the PRV and determined the only an adjustment was needed to resolve my concerns.

Our a/c unit for upstairs went out and it instantly got up to 85 degrees. I Hit up Google and found Tuck & Howell. It was later in the evening and they still were able to get a technician sent out for me. Holden called and said he was 20mins out. He arrived on time and got right to work. He replaced the capacitor and got us cooling down in no time. He was very informative about what was going on with our unit and didn’t pressure us into making decisions about purchasing items that would extend the life of the unit. He gave a great pitch though. Called T&H this morning about HVAC unit leaking water in basement. Their technician Jack arrived shortly after 1 pm. They called 30 minutes before to say he was on his way. He found the problem was an improperly installed drain line that had finally clogged after years of use. He replaced a section and resealed some joints that were questionable. He explained a couple of options depending on how much I wanted to spend. The final charge was exactly what he quoted at the beginning. In an hour he was done. I'm thoroughly satisfied with Jack's work and Tuck & Howell's response.

Professional and timely from beginning to end. Sales Rep and Installation team took an interest in my family and addressed all of our needs. Provided temporary AC units while we waited for the installation. Was impressed by the company’s longevity and employee experience.

I felt it was too expensive. I have had them before but $419. Is too much based on my research.
I hope it was a Lennox compatible device? I have to assume it is. The device is good to have and I would have installed one my self but at 82 years old with cancer it is too hard for me.

Our HVAC suddenly stopped blowing cold air, so I gave them a call. Spoke with Michaela. She was upfront about their $69 diagnostic fee, and she had someone out to my home the very next day.

Ironically, just before Connor arrived, the system started working again. I showed him a video of what had been happening, and he immediately took the time to listen and understand the issue. Connor was incredibly friendly, professional, and even showed some love to my sweet 90-lb puppy, she absolutely adored him!

He performed a very thorough inspection of our HVAC system in the attic, and clearly explained everything he found along with showing me photos he took. While the original issue wasn’t actively occurring during his visit, he could still identify the issue and also discovered a significant buildup of mold and mildew inside the duct work. He explained that it wasn’t causing the immediate cooling problem but was definitely something that should be addressed for the health and efficiency of the system.

What impressed me most was Connor’s honesty. He reviewed the pricing, answered all of my questions, and never once made me feel pressured to purchase anything. It was such a refreshing experience. I’ve had technicians from another HVAC company service this same system for several years, and not one of them ever mentioned the mold and mildew buildup that Connor found during a single visit.

Because of the outstanding service Connor provided, I signed up for Tuck & Howell’s monthly maintenance club ($20 a month). I also approved the cleaning and recommended repairs, and I’m looking forward to having Connor come back to get our system back to 100%.

It’s rare these days to find someone who is knowledgeable, honest, professional, and genuinely cares about doing the right thing. Connor absolutely earned my trust, and because of him, Tuck & Howell has earned a customer for life. Highly recommend!

JD recommended and installed the Reme Halo LED and it has made a HUGE difference in the air quality in our home. I live in an older condo and odors transfer from our neighbor - she diffuses essential oils particularly eucalyptus. Diffusing essential oils emits VOC's into the air and the Reme helps clear our air and gives me peace of mind that our health is not being compromised. Very grateful to JD for all of his help!

Called shortly before noon and T & H had a tech here by two or so in the afternoon. Tim, the tech, quickly diagnosed our kitchen drain issue and had it taken care of within an hour or so. Tuck & Howell is the company you want for your HVAC system maintenance and repair needs. I dealt with Holly and Holden and they are both outstanding and provided exactly what I needed.

LONG VERSION (please read if you're frustrated like I was):
After years of dealing with one of the "Big HVAC Companies" in the Upstate area, I was tired of them not addressing my concerns and pushing their "You're going to need a complete HVAC system replacement" business model. I was looking for an actual service company who would dispatch skilled and knowledgeable technicians to help me maintain my relatively new system and get as much life out of it as I could.

My home is only 7 years old, and the HVAC system still works quite well. However, I was having issues with it keeping up during the hottest 90+ degree summer days and thought I would get someone to come out and take a look at it since the refrigerant hadn't been checked since installation. So, I called the "Big HVAC Company" I had used in the past while in another house and they came out (almost 2 months later) and said my refrigerant was low and that I needed a new HVAC system. When I asked if they could just top it off and see how long that would work, the technician (or rather, salesman) balked and said the best he could do would be to provide me a quote for repairs, along with some upgrades I didn't really need, but wouldn't recommend simply adding refrigerant.

Frustrated, I called Tuck & Howell and expressed my concerns and from the very first conversation I had with the representative, I knew I had found the answer to my problems. Within 2 days, Tuck & Howell had scheduled and dispatched a technician.

The communication and service provided by Tuck & Howell is outstanding! From Holly's messages letting me know that the technician was on his way, to Holden, who patiently listened to my concerns and expertly assessed my HVAC system and provided me with service options, I knew I had finally found an HVAC company that suited my needs.

Holden confirmed that my system was a little low on refrigerant, but provided an option to "baseline" my system and top it off, then check it again later to determine the severity of the leak. He even checked out 2 items the "Big HVAC Company" said were on the verge of failure and needed replacement, but these turned out to be functioning fine. Holden also discovered a clogged drain line that the "Big HVAC Company" technician was supposed to have cleaned a few weeks prior.

Holden also let me know (based on actual data and system flow readings) that he thought my HVAC system wasn't "balanced" for my home and that, with some simple modifications, we could get better airflow and efficiency from our existing system. Something the "Big HVAC Company" didn't even notice - and had they done so, they would have said I needed a complete HVAC system replacement anyway.

Booking an appointment online was very easy and my appointment was confirmed the same day (on a Sunday). My technician, James S., was extremely helpful in providing options for my repair. This is the second time I have used Tuck and Howell services and the second time I have been extremely pleased with their work. Their technician, Will Geer, went above and beyond to resolve the issue I was having with my water heaters. He was not only knowledgeable and personable, but took great care of our home. I would like to say thank you to Tuck & Howell for sending someone to check my AC system for my home so quickly. Connor, a field technician showed up first. He look at my system and explained what I must do to get the system fixed. He also explained why. Story short, I must replace this 40 year old system. So Connor called his field supervisor, Josh. Josh looked at the system I have and inspected my home to see what must be done to install a new AC system. Then Josh and Connor sat down and talked with me about options. They answered all my questions. We came up with a plan that was satisfying. I noticed while we doing business, we were talking together like we were family. They were so polite, not in hurry to rush off, willing to help me in any way they can. We laughed and joked around a little. I have been doing business with Tuck & Howell since 1995. And I'm still proud they service my home AC system.

Our A/C stopped working last Thursday about 2 pm and Jesse got here on Friday about 4:50.It was about 88 degrees in our home and scorching hot on the outside. Jese worked tireless until he had everything up and running about 9:45. Our sincere thanks to Jesse for his hard work.

Technician came in the scheduled window and called when on the way. Did the tuneup service and provided detailed information on any findings. Also loved that the quotations we requested came as separate quotes or altogether so we could choose timing.
